I was going to keep this site on hiatus until March, but I had to post this! Congratulations, Sarah!!! We will have lots of photos from the event and more when our site is fully back this spring! In the meantime, here is a video of Sarah Jessica Parker accepting the prestigious 2026 Carol Burnett Award at Golden Eve.

Looking back at our 2026 Carol Burnett Award recipient, Sarah Jessica Parker’s career at Golden Eve.
Matthew Broderick presented his wife of nearly 30 years Sarah Jessica Parker with the Golden Globes’Carol Burnett Award for a life of achievement in television at Golden Eve, a ceremony that also added Helen Mirren to the list of legends that have won the Cecil B. DeMille Award.
Broderick suggested if she’d listened to him, it might not have happened.
“Do you really want to do TV?” the actor recalled asking Parker when she was first presented with the script for her career-making role as Carrie Bradshaw on “Sex and the City” in the 1990s. She would go on to win six Golden Globes and two Emmys.
Accepting the award, Parker said, “It has been a privilege and a dream to call myself an actor.”
Golden Eve, a new separate ceremony for honorary career awards during the run-up to Sunday’s Golden Globes, was held on Tuesday night at the Beverly Hilton hotel and aired on Thursday night on CBS. Both women will also be acknowledged on the main show, airing live on CBS.
Parker got a tearful tribute from longtime “Sex and the City” co-star Kristin Davis and a toast with cosmopolitans — Bradshaw’s favorite drink that the show turned into a craze — led by Colman Domingo.
The Carol Burnett Award is given for “outstanding contributions to television on or off screen.”
The most recent winner — Ted Danson — and its namesake and 2019 first winner — Burnett — opened the night of kudos.
“My darling Sarah,” Burnett, age 92, said on a mic from her table. “Welcome to the club.”
Parker also talked about the time creator Darren Star offered her “Sex and the City,” and what it would mean to take it. The original HBO show became a cultural phenomenon. It ran for six seasons, spawning two feature films and the recent reboot series “And Just Like That….”
“I met Carrie Bradshaw, Charlotte York, Samantha Jones, and Miranda Hobbes,” Parker said, “and I spent 25 years with the most glorious ensemble of women and actors, where we treated all of New York like CBS Television City and the streets like Studio 33.”
Broderick also talked about the way “Sex and the City” changed their lives.
“The president,” he said, “came to our house.”
Sarah Jessica Parker’s eponymous shoe collection is coming to an end.
SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker will officially close down this fall, according to a statement given to WWD and Footwear News on Aug. 16.
“After 10 colorful years, SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker has made the difficult decision to close its doors this fall,” read the statement from the brand. “The SJP Collection team expresses enormous gratitude to all of their loyal customers and supporters, as well as all those they’ve worked alongside.”
The brand’s last remaining U.S. storefront at 385 Bleecker St. in New York will close its doors on Aug. 25. Online shopping will remain available until an as-yet-to-be-determined date.
The brand still has brick-and-mortar locations in Dubai, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
Parker previously had stores at New York’s Seaport and a store on West 54th Street, which she first opened during COVID before moving it to the Bleecker Street spot.
The And Just Like That… star first launched her brand in February 2014 alongside the late George Malkemus, a businessman slash fashion pro who helped catapult Manolo Blahnik shoes into popularity. He was the one who introduced Manolos to Parker before she was even starring on Sex and the City. But by her telling audiences of millions that she had a “religious experience” in a Manolo Blahnik store on the show, she only cemented that the shoe (and Malkemus) were fashion staples.
Thus, her partnership with Malkemus was born, so it only made sense that when she wanted to launch her brand, she turned to the man who knew everything about shoes. The two worked together until Malkemus died in 2021.
Parker has been known to wear her own shoes on red carpets and show up at her store to help customers shop. Her Bleecker Street storefront is even near Carrie Bradshaw’s apartment on Sex and the City, making it an easy stop if you’re doing a filming locations tour.
Last October, Parker and her husband, Matthew Broderick, stepped out for a date night at the New York City Ballet. The actress wore an off-the-shoulder dress from Carolina Herrera, as well as a pair of sandals from her collection, which are meant to be worn mismatched. While one of her open-toe heels was black, the other was mauve. However, both of the stilettos had a diamond-circle buckle on top.

And Just Like That… Carrie Bradshaw is back!
Sarah Jessica Parker kicked off season 3 of the Sex and the City revival on Wednesday, May 1 as she shared a photo of the scripts for the first and second episodes from the cast’s table read.
“Here. We. Go. X, SJ,” she wrote in the caption, which showed two scripts dated from the April 30 table read, along with a place card for her character with the show’s title and “season 3.”
She tagged her SATC costars, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, a.k.a. Charlotte and Miranda, on the post, along with some of the new faces who have become mainstays in the AJLT… world, like Nicole Ari Parker, Sarita Choudhury and Katerina Tannenbaum. She also tagged Mario Cantone, another OG who returned for the reboot.
Nixon, 58, also shared a photo of the script for episode 1 of season 3 on Instagram, and added Noelinar’s remix “Get Ready For This,” to the captionless post.
On her Instagram Stories, Davis, 59, similarly posted from the table read, writing, “We’re back! #AJLT” over a photo of her script and “Charlotte” place card.
The series was renewed for a third season prior to the finale of season 2. Executive producer Michael Patrick King wrote in a press release at the time, “We are thrilled to spend more time in the Sex and the City universe telling new stories about the lives of these relatable and aspirational characters played by these amazing actors. And Just Like That… Here comes season three.”King was celebrated by Max’s Head of Original Content Sarah Aubrey, who said in a statement at the time, “We raise our cosmos to Michael Patrick King and his magnificent team of writers, producers, cast and crew who continue to charm us, 25 years later, with dynamic friendships and engaging stories. We cannot wait for audiences to see where season three will take our favorite New Yorkers.”
Well, at least one pairing worked out on And Just Like That… this season.
Sarah Jessica Parker has adopted the real-life cat that played Carrie’s new kitty Shoe on Max’s Sex and the City continuation, she announced on Instagram on Tuesday. “His off-camera name is Lotus,” she says, adding that “he and his siblings were all given botanical names when they were rescued as newborns” by the Connecticut Humane Society. She and husband Matthew Broderick adopted Lotus in April, adding him to their other two adopted cats Rémy and Smila.
“If he looks familiar, that’s because he is,” Parker notes, with Lotus playing the adorable kitten that came into Carrie’s life in Season 2. The cat debuted in Episode 9, with Che bringing a litter of abandoned kittens over to Carrie’s apartment. Carrie was not a fan at first, but by the season finale, one cat had won her heart, with Carrie proudly introducing her new pet to her friends as Shoe — named both for Carrie’s beloved footwear and for “shoo, as in ‘Get out of my shoe!’”
And Just Like That… has already been renewed for Season 3, so we’ll presumably get to see more of Shoe in Carrie’s new Gramercy Park apartment. But in the meantime, Parker has posted plenty of photos (and a video!) of Lotus on Instagram for us to enjoy.

“InStyle” — If there’s one woman who knows what makes a good shoe, it’s indisputably Sarah Jessica Parker. After spending years walking in Carrie Bradshaw’s GORGEOUS Manolo Blahniks, some of that great taste has rubbed off on her — and can definitely be seen mirrored in her amazing shoe range, SJP Collection.
Launched at the beginning of last year, the 50-year-old’s first-ever range of heels amassed such a cult following that demand exceeded the styles made, making it a complete sell out.
After catching her breath and re-stocking, she then managed to find time to collaborate with achingly cool brand TOGA on its AW15 collection which was shown at New york Fashion Week to rave reviews. So yep, she’s enjoyed a pretty stellar first-year all things considered…
However, after giving us a first look at her latest designs, we reckon her spring 2015 range is going to be even hotter (if that was even possible!)
Moving award from the colour-pop courts that kick-started the collection, SJP has really flexed her design muscles to come up with these show-stoppers. Take a peek…
What did we tell you? HOT.
Taking to her Instagram to unveil these insane heels SJP said: ‘So pleased to be spending time on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico meeting so many friendly faces. I’ll be at @nordstrompr for another hour. Come say hello! Dress by @evolutionvtg. Shoes by @sjpcollection. X, Sj.’
There’s no doubt that these glittering heels — complete with sexy cross-over straps, lashings of buckles and a statement, jewel-encrusted t-bar — are so wow-worthy that even the super-stylish Carrie Bradshaw would have to take a second glance.
While we love how SJP’s paired them with a checked silk midi dress, we reckon they’d look even more badass paired with ripped boyfriend jeans, a marl grey tee and an edgy leather biker. Feel free to send a pair our way and we’ll gladly style them up for you, Sarah…
We don’t know about you but if the first the SJP Collection’s SS15 heels look *this* good, we can’t wait to see what the rest of the range will look like. As soon as they drop, we’ll be sure to let you know.
“People” — Sure, Andy Cohen has a very impressive résumé, but his biggest achievement might be the fact that he’s been honored with his very own shoe in Sarah Jessica Parker‘s eponymous footwear line, SJP. (That’s gotta be right up there with winning an Oscar, right?)
The TV host shared a photo from the Watch What Happens Live set, relaxing in his chair in one of his classic tailored suits, plus the sleek nude sandals from Parker’s latest collection, aptly named “The Andy.”
“It fits like a glove! I feel like a man AND a woman,” he wrote in the caption. Looking for a splurge? Pick up your own pair for $345 right now at Zappos!
Parker has named other shoes after people who are close to her, which is why she couldn’t resist calling one of the styles “The Carrie,” to immortalize her iconic, shoe-obsessed Sex and the City character, Carrie Bradshaw. (She even did a photo shoot with the shoes on Carrie’s front steps!)
“I’ve introduced them as if they are living, human people rather than just a shoe, an inanimate sort of object,” Parker said of her passion for the different styles, while moonlighting as Oprah’s shoe stylist. (Her talents are truly limitless.)
