Cynthia Nixon is ‘Unsure’ About More “Sex and the City”

Cynthia Nixon isn’t as confident as others might be about more Sex and the City films. But then again, she admits she never is.

“Who knows, who knows?,” the actress tells Zap2it about again reprising her Emmy-winning portrayal of Miranda Hobbes, following Sarah Jessica Parker’s recent hint of another possible chapter. “I go about my life, and if there’s going to be another story that Michael Patrick King writes and directs, that’ll be great. And if not, we’ve had a wonderful run.”

Indeed, having chalked up six HBO seasons and two movie spinoffs, Nixon reflects her run with the franchise has been “amazing. It’s nice that the thing you’re most famous for is something you’re so proud of. Some people can get recognized for something they might feel lukewarm about, though it’s popular. I’m proud that ‘Sex and the City’ was both wildly popular and wildly good.”

Sarah Jessica Talks Even More “Sex and the City” Movies

Since Sarah Jessica Parker’s pop-culture legacy is so tied to her portrayal of Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City and its two movies, whenever MTV News has the opportunity to chat with the actress, we have to get an update on the beloved series.

Thankfully, we caught up with Parker at the Cannes Film Festival and asked her to comment on the rumors about a “SATC” prequel, as well as her thoughts on returning to the famed role of Ms. Bradshaw one more time.

“I think it always comes down to story and what is the story people want to tell,” Bradshaw said of the rumored adaptations of “The Carrie Diaries.” “Obviously, I feel proprietary in the best possible way about that entire franchise as it were, but I think there are lots of talented storytellers and obviously lots of talented actors who might be a part of it. I think, like anything, you base your opinion on material and content, and I think that would be the only way for any of us to have an opinion.”

Regarding a future “SATC” installment, be it on the big screen or small, Parker revealed that there might be another tale to tell.

“I think there is perhaps one more small, important story to tell,” she said. “Whether or not we choose to do that and when we choose to do that remains, obviously, the unknown, but it’s nice to ponder.”

One more story, huh? We mentioned that it sounded like Parker has that specific story in her head.

“I don’t, but somebody else does,” she said with a knowing smile.

Sarah Jessica Parker Wants to Make Sex and the City 3!

Just weeks after it was rumored Blake Lively could be set to step into Carrie Bradshaw’s shoes for a Sex and the City prequel, Sarah Jessica Parker has hinted she might not be ready to hang up her Manolos just yet, and may still sign on for another movie.

We’ve been hearing whisperings of another SATC film for a while, but earlier this year, talk had reportedly turned to making a flick about Carrie’s early life.

Rumors began to circle that writer Michael Patrick King was keen to introduce a new group of girls, and already has Ms Lively in mind for Carrie’s part.

Now Sarah Jessica Parker has fueled talk we might not have seen the last of our four favourite Sex and the City girls, hinting another movie could still be on the way.

‘I would go back,’ she told the LA Times of the famous fashion film. ‘I think there’s one more story to tell. I know there is.

‘I’d definitely tell that story, and I know Michael Patrick King (the franchise’s writer and director) would do it right,’ she added.

‘But maybe not now. Maybe in five years, you know?’

Parker, Broderick Set for Naked Angels’ Valentine’s Day Ball, 2/14

Naked Angels will celebrate its 25th Anniversary as one of the most innovative theatre companies in New York with a spectacular Gala at Roseland Ballroom (239 West 52nd Street). Naked Angels company members Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are Honorary Co-Chairs for the event. Conceived as an imagined history of Naked Angels – and promising to be bigger than all of the company’s previous parties put together – One Big Ball will be a frivolous and inauthentic romp through Naked Angels’ 25 years, written and performed by Naked Angels members, with many friends and surprise guests. Naked Angels company member and Tony Award-winner Joe Mantello directs the evening.

About February’s event, Sarah Jessica Parker said, “Matthew and I are thrilled to be a part of the Valentine’s festivities. Naked Angels has always meant a great deal to me and my family, and I look forward to celebrating this incredible 25 year milestone.”

February’s celebratory event will bring the company and guests back to the beginning. The year was 1986. Reagan was president, Top Gun was raking it in at the box office, and the Beastie Boys ruled the airwaves. And there, in the midst of it all, on a hot summer’s night, at a dive bar in Hell’s Kitchen, a group of young artists were sharing a drink (or two) and dreaming of a place-a creative haven-where they could develop provocative and groundbreaking new work… and throw some kick-ass parties, too. And by the end of the night, as the place was emptying out and last call had been given, Naked Angels was born.

One Big Ball kicks off with a VIP cocktail reception at 6PM, followed by dinner and performances at 7:30PM. Proceeds from the event will help fund Naked Angels’ ongoing new play development.

50 Most Popular Women on the Web

COED magazine recently put together a list of the 50 Most Popular Women on the Web, which was based on Google searches and statistics. Most of the list are women you would normall expect to be on such a list: Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Britney Spears to name a few. But there is one startling inclusion: Justin Bieber. So where did the obviously male singer rank on the (almost) all-female list?

The teen heartthrob actually cracked the top 10, taking the No. 7 spot on the list, just ahead of Miley Cyrus and Paris Hilton. Not on the list is Bieber’s girlfriend Selena Gomez. Well, that’s awkward.

So how did the singer end up on this list? We’re not really sure. More than 34 million results come up when you search his name, but still, Bieber isn’t a girl. We’re thinking this was COED’s idea of a joke. Too bad it’s a really old joke.

Here is the full list:

No. 50: Eva Longoria

No. 49: Scarlett Johansson

No. 48: Carmen Electra

No. 47: Tina Fey

No. 46: Adriana Lima

No. 45: Lily Allen

No. 44: Sarah Jessica Parker

2010 Fashion Trends To Keep And Toss

NEW YORK (CBS) Fashion in 2010 had its ups and downs with some trends, like bright red lipstick, moving from the runway to the red carpet to Main Street and others, like Silly Bandz bracelets, going straight from the schoolyard to the arms of stars.

Katrina Szish, “The Early Show” style contributor, reviewed a few of these with an eye to what’s worth saving in your closet and what needs to be tossed.

PICTURES: 2010 Style Trends

As for the stars, Szish says lady Gaga and “Mad Men” star Jon Hamm are the red carpet royalty who hit all the right fashion notes , while Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Kei$ha are among the most error-prone when it comes to fashion.

“There’s no such thing as cheesy-chic,” she says, “just bad taste”

Here are Szish’s suggestions for your closet:

What to Toss:

* 1950s-iInsdpired styles: “The Mad Men craze made it into the Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 runway but this trend’s brief moment is over. It will be replaced by all things ’70s in 2011.
* Jeggings: This unfortunate attempt at jeans-as-leggings was a bad idea, made even worse the night Conan O’Brien wore a pair on his new TBS show.
* Silly Bandz: Started on the playground where girls collected and traded them , this trend is so 2010. (Hear that, Kelly Ripa and Katy Perry?)

What To Save:

* Platform Shoes: The higher the better! The trend is still going strong for 2011, despite the attempt to resurrect kitten heels this fall. We saw them in the SPRING 2011 Marc Jacobs, Prada, Chanel, Fendi runway shows and on the feet of Anne Hathaway, Lady Gaga (the extreme), Jessica Simpson, Victoria Beckham, and J.Lo.
* Leopard Prints: Tthe ubiquitous classic re-emerged as a must-have in 2010 and remains on the prowl for 2011! Check out Rachel Bilson, Jennifer Lopez, and Adam Lambert as celeb examples.
* Quirky Nail Polish Colors: From teal to purple to light blue, every shade of the the rainbow will continue to make a style statement.
