Sarah Jessica Parker lands ‘New Year’s Eve’ Role

Sarah Jessica Parker has joined the cast of ‘New Year’s Eve’.
The 45-year-old actress – best known for her turn as writer and fashion icon Carrie Bradshaw in six television series and two movies of ‘Sex and the City’ – will star alongside big names including Robert De Niro, Hilary Swank, Ashton Kutcher and Michelle Pfeiffer in the film, a sequel to 2010 hit ‘Valentine’s Day’.
Halle Berry and Zac Efron are also in negotiations for roles, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Sarah will play the mother of Abigail Breslin’s character, and will learn throughout the film she relies too heavily on her young daughter for company.
The Gerry Marshall-directed ensemble comedy was originally expected to shoot in mid-December but production has now been pushed back to February 2011.
Mike Karz and Wayne Rice will produce the film.

Sarah will next appear in ‘I Don’t Know How She Does It’ and is rumoured for a role in 2013 movie ‘The Ivy Chronicles’, based on a book by Karen Quinn about a woman who loses her husband, job and apartment.

SJP donates coats for a cause

Would you like to receive an image of Brooke’s coat? We also have coats from Rachel Zoe, Justin Timberlake, Fergie, and many more! Your readers can go here to bid on coats and dress like a celebrity all for a great cause.

Pierce Brosnan, Kelsey Grammer Will Join Sarah Jessica Parker Film

Exclusive: Sarah Jessica Parker‘s next feature film is shaping up nicely.

SJP starts shooting “I Don’t Know How She Does It” in mid January, with Douglas McGrath directing. McGrath is the congenial man behind the “other” Truman Capote movie, called “Infamous” (well worth renting), “Nicholas Nickelby,” and “Emma” with Gwyneth Paltrow.

Now I’m told that Pierce Brosnan has signed on to the Weinstein Company feature as SJP’s love interest. Also being made an offer this week–and likely to accept–Kelsey Grammer. Kelsey is wrapping up a long run on Broadway in “La Cage Aux Folles,” and ready for a new challenge. I’m told that TWC’s Donna Gigliotti ran into him in the last few days and literally told him he was coming to work. She wants him!

For Parker, this film will set the tone for her post- “Sex and the City” career. Her past tries–”Family Stone,” “Failure to Launch”– fell a little short, But there’s no reason why she’s not a movie star of smart romantic comedies.

‘Sex Stars Are Close Like Family’

Actor Willie Garson hates constant speculation the female stars of Sex And The City fought on-set – because the cast are like “family”.

The leading actresses of the hit U.S. show have long faced reports they don’t get on, with Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker often rumoured to be at the centre of a rift.

But their co-star Garson reveals the cast has grown so close during their time spent on the TV series and two subsequent movies, they’re virtually like family.

He tells Britain’s Live From Studio Five, “It’s completely ridiculous. I mean, it’s so ridiculous (the rift rumours).

“We’ve spent 15 years of our lives together literally through everything; marriages, divorces, births, deaths, everything. It’s just a family.” »

Kristin Davis Wants a Third ‘Sex and the City’ Movie

Kristin Davis wants a third “Sex and the City” movie. The 45-year-old actress, who has played Charlotte York Goldenblatt in the TV series and the first two “Sex and the City” movies, revealed there are no definite plans for a new film right now but she would love the chance to revive her role as the uptight New Yorker.

“There are no plans that I know of but I would love to do a third film,” she said. “We all want to do it, I guess it’s just figuring out whether it’s the right thing to do and if we can move the characters forward anymore.”

Although Kristin wants to return to the “Sex and the City” franchise she may not have time with a new movie and television series in the pipeline. The actress will star opposite Michael Caine and Dwayne Johnson a.k.a. “The Rock” in “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island”, a sequel to “Journey to the Center of the Earth” next year.

The star is also set for a return to television and is currently writing the script to an adaptation of the book “The Happiness Project” but doesn’t want her “Sex and the City” co-stars to join her. When asked if there would be a role for Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall or Cynthia Nixon, she replied, “No, no, no. We’re not going to do that.”
